A Couple of Cards to Share + a Giveaway!

Hello Everyone!

I don't know if it is me, but this month is going fast! The shop is moving really, really well thanks to you all and I finally had this weekend off from work to be relax and of course to get crafty, specially creating cards. This week I created cards focusing in the use of flair badges. The first card that I will share with you was inspire in one of my new Flair Sets 'Baby Boy', full of blues, yellow and Kraft colors great for Baby Projects.

Here is what I came with:

I used Bella Blvd Baby Boy Collection Papers to create this card. I love the soft blues, grays and yellows of this collection, great not only for Boys project but also for other projects too. The white tab that I used is part of one of the Studio Calico kits, but I can't remember which. And the Flair Badge is from Baby Boy Flair set here:

Then, I made another card but with a really wild but different twist on it. I wanted to used the new Filigree Leaves from Freckled Fawn available now in the store and this is what I came up with:

On a cream cardstock, I used the new Hero Art Tweed Pattern background stamp with Versamark Clear Ink Pad for a subtle effect. The animal print is from an old Basic Grey collection and I cut pieces of cream canvas to create the flower which is the focal point of the card. And last, I glued the Filigree Leaves with glossy accents which is a really strong glue great for any kind of material.

I really had a great time creating this cards and now I am trying to get more scrapbook pages done and getting into Project Life but with a different twist, no just for document the day to day life but to create a Traveling Album. I will have more details and picture later for this.

And now GIVEAWAY TIME! I would like you to leave a comment below with the link to your favorite project for 2012 - 2013 using Flair Badges, specially OUR FLAIR sets. If you don't have any project with flair don't worry, you can still participate!

Have a great day!

Card!

Hello Everyone!

I hope you are having a great day and a relaxing weekend! As you'all know, CHA already started yesterday and we are looking forward to bring lots of the new releases and more of the brands that you love. I will be adding Wood Chips and other products from Freckled Fawn and tons of Bits Flair Badges to the store as well.

Now, to give you more ideas in how to use your flair badges, I want to share a card that I made using Amy Tangerin Ready Set Go 6 x 6 paper pad, Distress Ink, a Woodgrain background stamp and of course a Flair Badge as Sentiment of the card.

I cut a Kraft cardstock in a standard size card, 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. Then I added a piece of paper slightly smaller to the bottom part of the card from (floral pattern paper).

I created the tag just using regular with cardstock. I used Distress Ink in 'Tumble Glass', (which coordinates really well with the blues in the floral pattern paper) to color the tag entirely, then I used the same ink to pad my woodgrain stamp and stamp it over the tag. I added a piece of the woodgrain pattern from the same pad and a strip of arrows paper and some cream twine.

The Just a Note Flair Badge also coordinates really well with the orangy yellow in the leaves of the pattern paper. Flair Badges are not just a really good accent to the pages, but also work really well as card sentiments too. I hope this idea is useful and inspire you to take your flair badges out and create!
